About this card
The American Express Business Platinum Card is a premium card with significant benefits, but its high annual fee and specific spending requirements make it a card best suited for a niche audience. Its strengths lie in its excellent travel rewards, luxury perks, and generous sign-up bonus. The 5x points on flights and hotels, coupled with lounge access and various statement credits, offer substantial value for frequent travelers. However, the $895 annual fee is a major deterrent, and the card's value is highly dependent on maximizing its benefits. The APR is irrelevant as it is a charge card. Its reputation is solid, and it generally appeals to established businesses. However, the card's value proposition is mixed; while it offers exceptional rewards for travel-heavy businesses, the high cost and complexity of its benefits make it less attractive to others.
