About this card

The Bilt Blue Card presents a highly complex value proposition, earning a 'Fair' overall rating. On one hand, it boasts an exceptionally strong fee structure with a $0 annual fee, no foreign transaction fees, and uniquely, no transaction fees on rent and mortgage payments. Its rewards program is also theoretically excellent, offering up to 1.25X points on housing payments, 4X on dining, and strong multipliers on travel, making it highly competitive for specific spending patterns. The introductory 10% APR is a generous short-term benefit. However, these significant advantages are severely undermined by two critical drawbacks. Firstly, the regular variable APR, ranging from 26.74% to 34.74%, is extremely high, particularly for a card targeting consumers with 'Very Good' credit. This makes carrying a balance prohibitively expensive and quickly negates any rewards earned. Secondly, and perhaps most critically, the card faces a significant reputation issue due to the lack of verifiable information regarding a 'Bilt Blue Card' issued by 'Cardless.' This raises fundamental questions about its existence and trustworthiness, making it difficult to recommend a product that cannot be reliably confirmed. While the card's theoretical benefits are appealing, the combination of a crippling regular APR and an uncertain product identity transforms what could be a standout card into one with notable limitations and significant risk.
