This is complemented by a generous sign-up bonus and a highly competitive fee structure, featuring a net annual fee of just $45 (after the $50 annual airline credit) and no foreign transaction fees. The card's product reputation is very strong, positioning it as a serious contender against established mid-tier travel cards, and it offers valuable travel protections. However, the card is held back by the complete absence of an introductory APR period and the ongoing challenge of Wells Fargo's recovering brand reputation. Additionally, while the Wells Fargo Rewards program is developing, its transfer partner ecosystem is not yet as extensive as those of industry leaders.
