About this card
The Choice Privileges® Select Mastercard® is a decent card for those loyal to Choice Hotels, but it has some limitations that hold it back from a higher rating. The generous rewards on Choice stays and the anniversary bonus are strong positives, and the Platinum Elite status is a nice perk. However, the high APR (even without a specific number), the annual fee, and the limited value for non-Choice Hotels customers bring down the overall score. Wells Fargo's reputation is a plus, but the card's limited appeal keeps it at a 3.0. The card is best suited for frequent Choice Hotels travelers who can maximize its rewards and benefits.
