About this card
The Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card presents a mixed bag of valuable travel benefits offset by a steep annual fee and a high APR. The high annual fee and APR significantly detract from its value, especially for those who may not fully utilize the Delta Sky Club access, companion certificate, and statement credits. While the rewards rate on Delta purchases is decent, the 1x miles on other purchases is underwhelming. The large sign-up bonus does provide an initial boost, but the ongoing value is heavily dependent on frequent Delta travel and maximizing the available credits. The card is best suited for loyal Delta customers who can take full advantage of the perks to justify the high cost. Overall, the card is fair due to the high cost versus benefits.
